The veteran’s journey.
Psychedelics aren’t a single moment — they’re a process. This is the whole arc, from first learning a lawful path exists to integrating what follows, with each step linked to where you can go deeper. Move through it at your own pace.
Five stages, one continuous path
Set and setting are paramount to effective work with psychedelics — and they begin long before any experience. Here is the full arc.
Realizing there’s another path
Most veterans arrive here after the standard options have run their course. Discovery is simply learning that a legitimate, research-backed path exists — one being studied at institutions like Johns Hopkins, the VA, and Stanford. This site is built to map that path, not to sell it.
Learn the substances, the science, the effects
Before anything else comes understanding: how these compounds act in the brain, what the research actually shows, and how a microdose differs from a full session. Education is where informed choice begins — and where most of this site lives.
Set and setting are not details — they’re the work
The mindset you bring and the environment you’re in shape the entire experience. Preparation means readying body and mind, clarifying intention, and lining up support beforehand, not after. It is the stage that most determines whether the work lands.
A study, or a lawful path
When the time comes, it should happen on solid ground. That can mean enrolling in a vetted clinical study recruiting veterans now, or understanding the state programs and legal routes where access is changing. Either way you go in informed and lawful — this site never helps anyone obtain or use any substance.
The experience is the beginning, not the end
Neuroplasticity opens a window afterward — a period where new patterns can take hold. Integration is the practice of making the shift last: somatic tools, peer support, and reflection that turn a single experience into durable change. It is the stage most people underestimate — and it rarely finishes in one pass. For many veterans the work is cyclical: it can take several experiences, with integration continuing between them and well beyond.
